Guild Wars 2 Launch Date

A bit late, but last week we announced our launch date for Guild Wars 2. Mark August 28th in your calendars, friends!
As expected, things are ramping up at work for me pretty significantly as we polish off the game to get ready for ship. After that, I'll post some screens from some of the work I did in game. Maybe once things slow down I can do more art in my spare time. Maybe.

So Busy...

I'm not currently inking comic books these days, and thus the enormous lack of updates. About a year ago I made a post about a new job in the game industry. I started working in QA at ArenaNet on Guild Wars 2 because, well, I needed steady income. Things have only gone up from there. I started to teach myself how to use our in house tools and caught the attention of some of the art leads. Back in September there was an opening in Level Design which I was recommended for. So, through a lot of persistence, patience, time, energy, and some good old fashioned sheer dumb luck, I am now working as a Level Designer on GW2.
It's very exciting, and I absolutely love my job. Once the game ships I'll post some screens of stuff I worked on, and possibly even my sketch planning. Maybe I'll even find some time to ink in my spare time for fun. But in the meantime, back to work and see you sometime after the release.

Skullkickers

Back in December my good friend Jim dropped me a line to see if I was available to help fill in some inks for his book Skullkickers. There was no way I could turn down an opportunity to work with, and help out a friend, so I gladly took him up on this offer.
Skullkickers #5 is out in stores today, featuring about 8 pages worth of my inks over Edwin Huang's action packed pencils. Get started on this series now because it just went from being a mini-series to ongoing

Soul Calibur 4

Soul Calibur 4 hit stores today so time to throw up a few new pages.
Udon was asked to do a 24 page comic which you can check out if you pick up the Premium Edition of the game for either the Xbox 360 or PS3. You also get a T-Shirt, a double sided poster, and a swanky metal case to house all this.
